We were absolutely over the moon yesterday to see the shortlist announced for the McIlvanney Prize for Scottish crime book of the year, and Emma Christie’s gripping crime thriller The Silent Daughter in amongst the titles selected! A massive congratulations to Emma!
The Silent Daughter was published by Welbeck in September 2020, and has recently been longlisted for the Bloody Scotland Scottish Crime Debut of the Year and the CWA’s New Blood Dagger. The other shortlists include Alan Parks and Stuar MacBride.
The winner of the £1,000 worth prize will be announced at the opening of the Bloody Scotland crime writing festival on 17 September.
