Martina Murphy trained as a drama teacher and has written YA fiction, as well as adult novels under the name Martina Reilly, with Hachette Irelands and Little, Brown. Something Borrowed, was long-listed for an Impac award. Martina has also written features and comic pieces for the Irish Independent, The Evening Herald and the Kildare Times. Martina lives with her husband and two children in Kildare, Ireland.
