As announced on The Bookseller, HAGS author Victoria Smith’s next book on kindness culture and the harms it brings to women will be published in Spring 2025.

Victoria Smith will be exploring kindness culture in her new book and argue the ways in which it is used against women to undermine them and their interests. The pressure on women to simply ‘be kind’ even in the face of curtailments to their rights will be explored. Smith will delve into how the order to ‘be kind’ is harmful to those that are forced to practice it.

British Commonwealth rights have been acquired by Urusla Doyle from Caroline Hardman.
