Susanna Rustin is the social affairs leader writer for the Guardian, where she has also worked on the Opinion desk and as deputy editor of the Guardian Review. She is a trustee of the Stuart Hall Foundation, and has judged awards including the Whitbread (Costa) first novel prize.
